We have always believed in the adage “you get back what you put in”. I feel blessed to have had the means with which to start a business that excites us. In this vein, it has always been important to me to support charitable organizations that do such amazing work.

Doctors Without Borders was first introduced to me by a tenant we once had who was a pediatric nurse and had spent two years with Medecins Sans Frontieres. She had met and fallen for a doctor while serving, and he followed her home once his tour was up. They both had such amazing stories to share, I was humbled by their courage and willingness to give so much of themselves and their lives.

As a business owner, I wanted to support a group that had a global outreach. Our world is getting ever smaller with the great technological advances that have occurred in that past 30 years. Therefore, in my mind, supporting a cause that is human at it’s core – not specifically religious, cultural or ethnic – is a recipe for true humanitarian aid.

As an organization, MSF has 87.38% of all donations received going directly to fund their programs.
